Aultman article written by Edna Elliott

The area of Aultman is located on old Route 8 (1976 Route 800) between North Canton and Greentown. Aultman had a railroad depot. Dr. John Daugherty remembers the train stopping.
It is believed Aultman got its name from the Aultman family who were early settlers and owned the Aultman Reapers Manufacturing Company which later moved to Canton.

Aultman had its own school in the early days.

In 1976 Aultman had a city limit sign, wide open spaces and a log house that could be seen from the main road.
